OPC grape seed extracts are mostly chemically extracted in combination with alcohols. Our organic OPC aronia is purely natural without any additives. The origin of the grape seeds is often in Europe or even more often China.

By stating that they were produced in Germany, it is often concealed where the actual origin of the raw material is. Often the extraction takes place in Asia without this being obvious to the consumer.

What is OPC?

If there are too many free radicals in our body, so-called "oxidative stress" occurs. This most likely causes diseases such as arteriosclerosis, cardiovascular diseases, arthritis, cancer and makes the skin age faster.
Oxidation can be observed, for example, in cut apples - they turn brown. Anyone who sprinkles lemon juice on apple slices can see that the antioxidant vitamin C and OPC prevent this oxidation: they retain their natural color. At Biohof Stövesandt we are responsible for both, the cultivation and the production of the Bio OPC powder. The aronia plant is cultivated by us in our home region, the so called Lüneburger Heide, and is harvested between August and September every year.

After we have cold pressed the berries, the powder is then dried. We only use low temperatures so that the valuable ingredients of the super berry are preserved. This process also allows us to completely dispense with any additives.

With hand and love back to naturalness

To guarantee the purest OPC, we pick the berries by hand. In this way we prevent leaves and other components from getting into our product.

We do not use any other extraction methods to isolate the OPC. When you buy our organic OPC aronia you do not get an industrially processed isolate, but a complete natural product.
